Dawn on Herbert Lake

The Icefields Parkway connects Banff and Jasper National Parks. It is a 3 hour drive without any stops. Given the number of stops I planned to make, it was more likely to be a 10 hour drive. As a result, I somehow got Carol up before dawn and headed to the first stop, Herbert Lake which is just north of Lake Louise. I got there before dawn and was able to set up the tripod. The morning was one of the best and the light was perfect and I was able to capture the sun slowly lighting the opposite shore. The result was a phenomenal reflection in the still water of the lake. What a great start to a magical day.
