One of the most visited national parks in the southwest is Arches National Park. Located in eastern Utah, the park is home to over 2,000 sandstone arches many of which are not easily accessible. This was the first stop on a 2 week trip that Greg and I took in May, 2005. May is perhaps the best time to visit as the weather is not too hot and the park is not crowded at all. One of our first stops in the park was Double Arch. Looking up through both arches enhanced the contrast between the orange sandstone and the blue sky.
